Myanmar, officially, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and formerly known as Burma, is a sovereign country in Southeast Asia. On one side is India and Bangladesh while on the other side it is bordered by Thailand, Laos and China. In the South it has an extended uninterrupted coastline of almost 2000kms with the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea washing its shores.
Myanmar is a land enveloped in tradition, culture and mystery. Due to an oppressive regime, for a long duration, tourism was restricted in Myanmar. It has only just opened its doors and much of the country is just waiting to be discovered. This tour will be a tribute to the most scenic and photogenic destinations of Myanmar. Capture the vibrant life and gorgeous locales as we travel across the most scenic places of this country.
What Should You Expect?
‘This is Burma', wrote Rudyard Kipling. ‘It will be quite unlike any land you know about.’ And almost a century later, Myanmar still holds true with these words. Get off the beaten track and explore the unknown with this 6-days and 5-nights photo tour led by GoodShotz mentor Bobby Joshi. Plenty of good photo opportunities, private tour with expert guide, accommodation in comfortable hotels, full board meals, private transport, entrance fees to national monuments and local taxes.
This tour also includes three domestic flights within Myanmar!
We start this trip at Yangon, the former capital, which has colonial architecture and ancient stupas dotting the cityscape. We then move to Bagan, which has one of the most photogenic plains in the world dotted with over a thousand stupas which have stood mightily for over a hundred years. We then fly to Heho and Inle Lake for sightseeing. The waters of Inle Lake are as still as glass with small clusters of hyacinths floating on the surface. We then head back to Yangon for our connecting flight to back home.
